Clinical Services

Lab Services

The Caden Murray Group works with practical, in-Network laboratories that offer a tremendous amount of vital information to best equip our doctors to understand each patient’s situation make informed decisions on the course of treatment. CMG has also partnered with specialty labs and companies offering diagnostic tools to ascertain esoteric information, offering every commercially available laboratory service a clinician would need. Whether a facility wants to bring in testing or specialty diagnostic services, or outsource them, CMG offers solutions.

Chemistry Panels (“Bloodwork”)

Blood Chemistry Panels provide vital feedback to the doctors to determine a person’s general health status. A Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP)provides current status of a patient’s kidneys, glucose levels, respiratory system, as well as electrolyte and acidity/alkalinity balance. A Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) will provide the same feedback as the BMP but also provide important liver and blood protein information, as well as micronutrients. Electrolyte Panels can help detect problematic areas in hydration and electrolyte levels. A Lipid Panel can help assess a person’s risk for cardiovascular disease. A Liver Panel (aka Hepatic Function Panel) will detect and evaluate acute and chronic liver (hepatic) inflammation, disease and/or trauma. A Renal Panel (aka Kidney Function Panel) will test for albumin, creatine, BUN, and eGFR to evaluate renal functionality. Thyroid Function Panels provide analysis of thyroid gland function and identify potential disorders. CMG can also help an office with multiple Allergy Testing systems and protocols.

Urinalysis

Urine Screening Panels can be used to not only detect and measure amounts of illicit drugs present in the urine, but prescription medication and metabolites to ensure the body is processing them appropriately. CMG’s physicians expect a high level of quality and expedited results in our accredited, in-network laboratory. The Caden Murray Group can also offer a source of immediate Drug Screening through either CLIA or non-CLIA collection cups.

Pharmacogenetic (PGx) Testing

DNA Testing can be conducted via cheek swab or saliva sample collection. CMG recognizes that DNA can impact how each of us metabolizes a certain drug, just as much as it effects the color of our eyes. One medicine might be very effective for one patient, not have any therapeutic value for another patient that needs it, and have an adverse reaction for yet another. Pharmacogenetics is the study of how our genetic variations impact the effects of medication on each of us, offering specific guidance based on our phenotype.

Respiratory Pathogen Panel

Respiratory Testing has come a long way. The Caden Murray Group has rapid screening capabilities to determine the type of Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI) a patient is combatting. Bacterial and Viral infections can exhibit similar symptoms, including: coughing, nasal discharge, congestion, fever, wheezing, headache, and myalgia. Diagnosis can be challenging, CMG can give you an answer within 24 hours. This 20 panel test is covered by most plans.

Gastrointestinal (GI) Pathogen Panel

Gastrointestinal or GI Testing can help identify challenging polymicrobial infections, which may be missed if using standard testing methods. Our 22 pathogen panel can help providers identify the appropriate course of treatment for conditions that exhibit a variety of dangerous symptoms, like watery diarrhea (bloody and non-bloody), stomach pain, cramping, fever, nausea, headache, and vomiting. Any number of other conditions could be presenting these symptoms, like Food Poisoning, IBD (Crohn’s, Colitis), Drug Reactions, Colon Cancer, Diverticulosis, Cystic Fibrosis, Thyroid Disorder, Tumors or Autoimmune Disease. This test is covered by most plans.
